About Me
Fiona Packham
Hi I'm Fee. I am passionate about the wellbeing of children and young people. I became a counsellor after having the privilege of going to India and, under the umbrella of IJM (International Justice Mission), working therapeutically with girls and young women who had been rescued from trafficking.

I'm a qualified child and young people's counsellor. I trained for 3 years at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. I gained a Postgraduate Certificate in the Therapeutic Arts and a Postgraduate Diploma in Child Counselling. My training included therapeutic communication through seven art forms: Art; Drama/Puppetry; Sculpture/Clay; Poetry; Sandplay; Music and Bodywork/Movement.

I've had 9 years experience of working as a counsellor. This includes working with children and young people in schools who are struggling to cope with challenging emotions and life events, Young Carers, Adopted and Fostered children who have been referred through Social Services. I like to work directly with families and give therapeutic parenting when appropriate.

I have a musical backgound with an MA in performance and BA(Hons) Music degree. I have a PGCE in Music and have over 20 years' experience teaching both classes and individual instrumental lessons.
I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), am fully insured and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.
